The Mamahood is so excited to be collaborating with The Makery, to bring the loveliest workshop here exclusively for our local mamas. Learn to make your own Espadrilles! Imagine: how amazing to wear a pair of shoes that you have made yourself from scratch!
The Makery run the most beautiful array of craft workshops in Bath and also partner with John Lewis in London to run some of their amazing workshops there. So excited that they have agreed to run a workshop with us too.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
You will learn how to make a finished espadrille (adults or kids). You will finish one shoe in the workshop, with the knowledge and materials to finish the other at home so that you have a pair of beautiful (and very comfy) shoes!
WHO IS IT FOR?
Suitable for beginners - no prior sewing knowledge required.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING ALONG?
All materials for making the espadrilles are included. However please bring a piece of fabric of your choice for the exterior of your espadrilles (40cm x 55cm is plenty for 1 pair of shoes) Nothing too embellished please. Plain or printed linen or cotton works well. And nothing heavier than denim (which also works well). If you aren't able to bring some fabric, there will be a selection to choose from on the night and shouldn't cost more than a few pounds.
Please let us know in the comments section when booking your shoe size (or the shoe size of who you are making them for)
£40 (includes everything you need except the fabric of your choice)
Tulse Hill Hotel, 150 Norwood Road, SE24 9AY. You will be free to order drinks and food from the lovely menu while you make!
CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note we can not offer refunds once you have booked your place.
